Dicks' dinner party - a performance highlight

Rachael was very fortunate to be invited to perform for an exclusive dinner party at the end of December at Dick Smith's beautiful property just outside Canberra.  The guestlist made for an incredibly impressive gathering.  Amoung the guests were Geoffrey Robertson Q.C., author Kathy Lette, playwright David Williamson, and photographer Q.C. Mark Tedeschi.

The intimate concert featured favourites from Gilbert and Sullivan, Puccini, Bacharach, Sondheim, and Verdi and was accompanied by ANU School of Music Head of Voice Area, Alan Hicks.

The performance was definitly a major highlight for 2011.

Honours 1st Class

 Rachael is pleased and proud to be graduating from her fourth year at the Australian National University, School of Music with First Class Honours.  She will be continuing her post-graduate studies in 2012 at the ANU whilst maintaining her teaching and performing commitments.  Youtube clips from Rachael's Honours Graduation Recital and available for viewing in the Media section of this website.

Youtube video finally added

 There is now a new youtube channel in the Media tab for visitors to check out.  Video's of Rachael performing opera, artsong, jazz, and more will now be uploaded regularly.

Tour

Rachael and Luke plan to tour "The Great Unknown" around the capital cities and regional areas of Australia from January 2012.  The duo are very keen to play their intimate and unique show to audiences every where.  Keep an eye on NEWS and IN CONCERT for details of dates and venues as they become available.

Album released - "The Great Unknown"

On Thursday 8th September 2011, Rachael and Luke Sweeting launched their debut duo album, "The Great Unknown" in the Larry Sitsky Recital Room at the ANU School of Music.  The highly successful evening was hosted by the ANU School of Music and supported by the Friends of the ANU School of Music.  The duo plan to tour in March 2012.  The album is available now at;
